You may have seen this in this week’s sales ad. I noticed when I ran into MARTIN’S quickly the other night that there was a clarification flyer stating that this is not valid on individual cereal cups or discontinued items.
I mentioned in my weekly deals post that this has the potential to really be a good deal. I don’t like to pay more than $1 per box of cereal, so by the time you factor in the $1.50 you save on each box ($6/4 boxes of cereal = $1.50) plus a manufacturer coupon you can easily get a box for $1 or less. I also read in an on-line forum (but I haven’t tested it myself) that some people were getting a Catalina (a coupon towards a future purchase) for free milk after purchasing the 4 boxes of cereal. Has anyone done this deal and gotten the Catalina?
Here are some opportunities for matching up coupons with the cereal on sale. I don’t have prices for the cereal, but hopefully this will help.

I tried to come up with some deal scenarios, but I really don’t see any great deals. I apologize because I have not had a chance to shop this week and to check to see what the regular price is on the disposable razors or the deodorant. With the info in the ad these are the best deals I can come up with. Please feel free to share any that you found. :)
Scenario 1:
Buy 1 Pampers Box – $19.99
Buy 1 Febreze Air Effects – $2.50
Buy 1 Always Maxi Pads – $3

Redeem the following coupons:
$2/1 Box of Pampers (found in marked boxes)
$1/1 Febreze Air Effects (Home Made Simple Mailer)
$1/1 Always Pad – 12/26 P&G brandSAVER
Your Final Total = $21.49 plus you get a $5 off your next order coupon at the end of your transaction
Scenario 2:
Buy 1 Prilosec OTC – $9.99
Buy 1 Tide Detergent – $10.99
Buy 3 Puffs Family Basic Facial Tissue – $5.37

$0.25/3 Puffs Single Packs - 12/26 P&G brandSAVER
Your Final Total = $21.85 plus you get a $5 off your next order coupon at the end of your transaction
I am sorry that I was late in getting these additional deals posted this week. We have been doing some home improvements over the last few months and this week I had electricians working in the house. They were super nice and did a great job, but I had my hands full trying to keep the girls out of their way.
Have a great weekend and happy shopping!

I know this is a little late-in-the-game, but there's an extra bonus to the General Mills cereal deal this week~ when you buy 4 cereals, not only do you get the $6 off at the register, but I also got a Catalina Coupon that was for a free gallon of milk! Even if you only use the $1/2 Smart Source coupons, you still end up with 4 boxes of cereal and 1 gallon of milk for $4. :O)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I did this deal twice on the same day. Hope this helps!
Oops! Clearly I need to read the fine-print in your post. You mentioned the cereal deal there. Sorry for the repeat info! :O)
ReplyDeleteNot a problem Lissa - thanks for verifying that it worked here in Richmond. I just want to know how with your kids you were able to read and stay awake after midnight. :)
