MARTIN’S Top Deals for the week of August 1st

logo_MARTINS

I found some good deals at first glance of this week’s ad.  I am still working on the rest of the match-ups.  I hope to have them finished by Tuesday morning.  We are expecting “baby brother” to make his appearance in the next 8 days (or less!) so I am busily trying to finish up all of the cleaning and laundry and things associated with preparing for a new baby this week.

If you would like to see an on-line version of this week’s ad click here.

  1. I found a great deal on the Buy 5 get 5 off deal. I bought 2 bxs of Eggos, 2 bxs of 12ct Poptarts and 1 box of Kelloggs fruit snacks for 4.48 after q's.

But I figured I could do great with getting 5 of the cheapest items next time which are the Eggos. Buy 5 and use the $1/2 q's that are out and you end up paying 0.59 for each box of Eggos. That is a great stockpiling deal for me since I have a 5 year old starting school and a 3 year old starting preschool and a new baby that will be here a week before all of that happens!

  2. That is a great tip Nikki! I was planning on sitting down this evening and looking at the possibilities for the $5 off deal. Our lives are very parallel. I have a 4&1/2 year old who will be in preschool 3 days a week this year, a 2 year old who will be going 1 day a week, and of course expecting a new baby in a week.

  3. I forgot you were going to have your baby early....I'm now 6 days late to have my son, so I totally understand the "nesting". Hope all goes well for you at your delivery, and thanks again for the match-ups...we'll see if I make it in THIS week. :O)

  4. Good Luck to you ladies! I still have until the 23rd then it will be my turn! I have been stockpiling and cleaning and organizing away. Tomorrow and Thursday is school shopping time for me. I have already gotten school supplies, but now its time for the clothes and shoes part. I didn't want to get in the rustle and bustle of tax free weekend so I figured I could go early and get it over with!
Praying that you two have quick and easy births!

  5. Ann, I read on a PA blog that Giant stores are running a catalina promotion - $10 oyno when you buy any 10 Kelloggs, Keebler, Sunshine, Eggo, and/or Morning Star. If you overlap this with the buy any 5 get $5 off instantly it makes for a GREAT deal (especially if you have coupons). I have NOT tried this yet, but I thought folks would be interested to know. As long as the instant $5 comes off twice, you can count on a $2 discount per item.

  6. Lissa & Nikki - good luck to both of you as well with your little ones!

Sdavis - that is a great tip. I am going to try to run out this morning and see if it works. I just made a double batch of waffles for my freezer last week, but I will gladly stock-up on free or almost free Eggos!

  7. Ann - I was able to do the save $5 instantly promotion twice and get the $10 oyno CAT this morning. Thanks! Sdavis

Feel free to delete this part from my comment. I would just email you directly the website, but I don't know how to do that. The PA blogger is www.momsneedtoknow.com if you want to check it out. She has some of the coupon match-ups for the promotion items
