MARTIN’S Top Deals for the Week of February 13th

 logo_MARTINS

There are two deals advertised in this week’s ad.  The first one is the “Smuckers Stars on Ice purchase any 5 items and receive $5 off instantly”.  (I read it as buy 5 and take $1 off of each item.)  Here is a list and the prices of the participating items:

  • Jif Peanut Butter (17.3-18oz)– $2
  • Smucker’s Preserves (18oz) – $2.50
  • Smucker’s Orchards Finest Preserves (12oz) – $2.50
    • Use $1/1 from the 12/5 RedPlum Insert
  • Pillsbury Hungry Jack Pancake Mix – $1.69
  • Hungry Jack Microwaveable Syrup (27.69 oz)– $2.69

I plan on buying pancake and waffle mix for $0.69 and preserves for $0.50!

The second promotion is for select General Mills Cereal buy 2 and get 1 Free.  I haven’t had a chance to verify the prices, but these are the larger boxes so I don’t think it is really that great of deal.  Here is a list of the participating cereal and sizes along with any coupons that could help reduce your out of pocket cost.

  • Cheerios (18oz)
  • Cinnamon Toast Crunch (24.9oz)
  • Honey Nut Cheerios(25.25oz)
  • Lucky Charms(24oz)
  • Multi Grain Cheerios (16.2oz)
  • $1/3 from the 2/13 General Mills Insert
  • $1/2 Cheerios or Honey Nut Cheerios from the 2/6 SmartSource Insert
  • $1/2 Any Cheerios from the 1/9 SmartSource Insert
  •  $1/2 coupon (manufacturer coupon on Target’s site)

Click here to view an on-line version of this week’s ad. Click here for information about MARTIN’S coupon policy.  The ad and the coupon policy are for the Richmond, VA area.  There is the possibility of same variances in other areas.

Check out Money Saving Mom for my MARTIN’S top deals in addition to top deals for other grocery stores, drug stores, and discount stores from other deal seekers. (They may not be posted this week, because I was late getting my deals together)

Check back on Thursdays for a new weekly series I started called “Meal Planning with the MARTIN’S Ad”.

Here are what I consider to be the top deals this week at MARTIN’S.  I verify the coupons that I mention with what I receive in my local paper, the Richmond Times-Dispatch.  Coupons are regional so you may not have the exact same coupon or the same face value.  Remember what I consider to be a good deal and what you consider to be a good deal may differ.  Please feel free to leave me a comment with any deals that you find.

PS - I apologize for my tardiness this week with posting my weekly deals.  I had a big date Monday night for Valentine’s Day with my sweet husband who arranged for a sitter and made reservations for us for dinner.  Trying to get things ready for a sitter and getting myself ready in addition to our normal Monday routine kept me from getting my deals posted.  I had hoped to get it done on Tuesday, but it was one of those days where each of my little ones stretched me in every direction.

Hi Ann, I just posted a link to your website on my facebook profile. You are doing all this work to make these lists, and deserve more followers! I have quite a few friends who coupon shop and will hopefully pop over from facebook. Thanks for all you do!

You don't happen to know if the Ronzoni Garden Delight Pasta would still be on for this week? I can't remember from my trip last week. Thanks again!

Thanks Amy! I hope that my lists help you and others. I really just like to help people save money and make the most of what they have been given.

BTW - I enjoy your blog. I wish I was a "crafty" person. That is most certainly not one of my gifts. :)

Judi - It looks like the Ronzoni Garden Delight is still on sale for $1.25 a box making it only $0.25 after you use the $1/1 in the 1/23 SmartSource Insert. I found out by going to MARTIN'S "browse the aisles" tab on their site so I am not sure how long the sale is going to last.

Thanks for the posting Ann. We have had a few busy weeks, so I haven't been able to really shop like I would like. I had to run to Martin's today, so I pulled up your blog to see your deals. I did your suggested Smucker's deal (with the preserve coupon), plus did it an additional time with All Natural Jif peanut butter. You can't touch $1 all natural pb. I was also able to get the veggie pasta for cheap. I had a few internet coupons for those as well, so I stocked up.

So a big thanks!! It took me just minutes to save a lot.

Thank you so very much, Ann! I just discovered your blog and I'm very excited! I'm new to couponing, so your lists are amazing at helping me learn the ins-and-outs. Thank you again!!!

I am glad to hear you were able to get your deals and even more importantly save! I haven't been shopping this week myself so I didn't get a chance to check out the Jif, I may copy you and get the 5 jars of natural peanut butter. You are right - you can't beat $1 a jar for natural peanut butter. :)
