MARTIN’S Top Deals for the Week of May 22nd

logo_MARTINS

Click here to view an on-line version of this week’s ad. Click here for information about MARTIN’S coupon policy.  The ad and the coupon policy are for the Richmond, VA area.  There is the possibility of some variances in other areas.

Check out Money Saving Mom for my MARTIN’S top deals in addition to top deals for other grocery stores, drug stores, and discount stores from other deal seekers.

Here are what I consider to be the top deals this week at MARTIN’S.  I verify the coupons that I mention with what I receive in my local paper, the Richmond Times-Dispatch (RTD).  Coupons are regional so you may not have the exact same coupon or the same face value.  Remember what I consider to be a good deal and what you consider to be a good deal may differ.  Please feel free to leave me a comment with any deals that you find.

There are lots of promotions in this week’s ad.  Please check back for separate posts on these and this week’s bonus fuelperks! REWARDS.

I found two different promotional savings shelf tags when I was in MARTIN’S picking up a few things and checking out some prices.  The first one was for $1.50 off ground beef when you buy two jars of select Vlasic pickles.  The second one was for $1 off ground beef when you buy two packages of Kraft American Singles.

I tried to do the Vlasic deal with a package of 90% lean ground beef marked a Manager’s Special.  Because the Manager’s Specials don’t ring up as the specific item, but as a generic bar code with the price the $1.50 didn’t come off.  I went over to the Service Center before leaving the store and they told me that they could not give me the $1.50 off, but did allow me to return the pickles.  (I wasn’t planning on buying the ground beef until I found it marked down so I didn’t have my Vlasic coupons with me and I never pay full price if I don’t have to. Smile)

I mentioned the Coupon Doubler last week. Did you have it in your Ad? I had them this week in the Martinsburg/Hagerstown area. Just an FYI for you and your readers again.

Thank you for these! My sister just shared your site with me and I was thrilled to see that someone is doing these match-ups. :)

Another tip - I asked the manager not long ago about the "must buy x" items, and it turns out it is exact multiples. So you can buy 8 or 12 Coke 12-packs, for instance, just not 5 or 7 or whatever.

WWadeII - no once again Richmond did not get the coupon doublers. We did get a coupon only in the Martin's ad that came in the Sunday paper for an additional $0.30/gallon when you spend $50 or more. In Richmond we are limited to a 20 gallon max with our fuel program. I figure that means I get $6 off my gas which is more than four $1 coupon doublers -or at least that is how I am comforting myself. :)

Welcome Rachel - I am glad that you found my match-ups helpful. Thanks for the tip and info about the must buy x promotions. My husband takes Diet Coke to work so maybe I will get 8 this week instead of just 4. :)
