Clearance deals at Target

I was in Target earlier this week to get the Pampers deal earning a $10 gift card that is advertised in this week’s ad.  While I was in there I was walking around and checking out the clearance section when I came across a deal I didn’t completely realize I had found until I got home.

The last month or so they have been advertising warehouse deals without the warehouse memberships and selling larger bulk items.  I realized the other day they were consolidating the section and there was a sign stating the merchandise was at least 15% off.  I found a 4-lb package (really 4 1-lb boxes bundled together) of Barilla spaghetti marked down to $3.40 (from $4).  I figured anything at less than $1 a pound for pasta is a decent deal.  It wasn’t until I got home and looked at my receipt that I realized that it rang up for $2 – so it was 50% off.  I almost kicked myself for not noticing it when I checked out and going back to get more.

Today after I dropped Natalie off at preschool Megan and I ran over to Target to see if there were any deals still left in the clearance section.

Here is a picture of what I found:

Up & Up 160 Cotton Rounds & 500 Cotton Swabs - $1.18 (75% off)

Frosted Flakes (55 oz) - $3.18 (50% off)

Special K Red Berries (33.4 oz) - $3.24 (50% off)

Quaker Instant Oatmeal (30 packets) - $3.48 (50% off) I also combined this with a $1 off Quaker Instant Oatmeal from 2/7 RP making it only $2.48 (or $0.08 a packet).

Del Monte Fruit Cups (16 ct) - $3.74 (50% off).

Total after clearance sale, coupon, and before tax = $13.82

I now have breakfast and snacks covered for at least the next two weeks.  :)

In case you are interested I found these deals at the Target at Short Pump.  I am guessing the clearance items are similar at the other Richmond stores.  The Barilla Pasta was gone today, and the selection was much slimmer than earlier in the week.  If you are interested I would get there sooner rather than later – or check out a store that may not get as much traffic.

I scored some of the same in Chester Target. They also had Soft Scrub, Herbal Essences, Luna Mini bars, Suave Shampoo and probably more that I don't remember.

Thanks Judi for reminding me of whatelse was there and some tips on other items not at Short Pump.

I did see some shampoo (I think it was Head & Shoulders) and some Suave Kids (I can't remember if it was bodywash or shampoo). I didn't see the Soft Scrub or Luna bars. I would have grabbed the Luna bars. I like to keep them in my purse for snacks.

It's always fun to see what other people can get at Target for real cheap. Thanks for posting! (found you on MSM).
