Coupon Match-ups for Double Coupon Wednesday at Ukrop's 2/17/10

The Ukrop's ad is still coming from Ukrop's right now. (At least that is what I was told at the store on Friday night.)  So, it still looks the same.  I keep checking every week to see if there are any changes listed in the coupon policy and things still look the same for this week.  There are some good deals this week - FREE yogurt and FREE margarine!  They are also running another fuelperks! bonus! rewards sale this week.  If you buy any one of these select items you will get and additional 0.05 per gallon added to your fuelperks! balance.  There is also a coupon on the first page of the ad for an additional 0.30 per gallon if you spend $50 or more in one transaction.

To view an on-line version of the ad click here.

Guidlines to Ukrop's coupon policy:
  • Ukrop's will double manufacturer coupons up to 0.99 on Wednesdays only.
  • Ukrop's will not double more than 5 like coupons per transaction.  If you have more than 5 like coupons you can use them in a different transaction.
  • Ukrop's accepts internet printable coupons up to a face value of $2.  They will not accept internet printable coupons for more a free item - this includes buy one get one free coupons.

I want to encourage to clip and bring with you any higher value coupons (like 0.75 ones) to the store. Last week I happened to have a coupon for 0.75/3 canned Contadina products 15oz or smaller. I was running low on tomato sauce so I checked out the price. They were on sale for $0.49 each. That means after the coupon doubled they were free! I was upset with myself for only printing one coupon. If you are interested the link to get the coupon is here - you have to register with them and then it will take you to the next page to print your coupon. I generally register myself and Steve so that I can get at least two prints. (I am not sure if this unadvertised deal is still active.) I also snagged a small botle of Tabasco sauce a few weeks ago for only about $0.25 after my $0.75 coupon (1/31 SS) doubled and a bottle of Famous Dave's Barbeque sauce for $0.99 after doubling my $0.75 coupon (1/31 SS). That was the same price as the store brand and I had just used the last bottle I had stockpiled from over the summer.

I am only listing the sale ad items that have a coupon to match-up with them.  Make sure to look at the ad for items that are good sale prices but don't have a coupon available.  The items with coupons that will double on Wednesday are in red.

Ann, the tomato sauce was still on sale (until 2/27 I think). It rung up at .69 at my store instead of .49 and the coupon didn't double right. It doubled .75 and then .63. In my math, I thought it would double .75 and then .72 - any thoughts on this? They adjusted the price for the sauce at customer service, but I didn't squabble over the .9 per coupon.
Thank you so much! We were out of tomato sauce from the last time I got it for free, so this was a GREAT tip! Scott

Scott - I am glad the tip helped you out. I had a similar experience this morning. The shelf tag showed that it was on sale thru 2/27 for 0.49. I noticed that the 9 cans I was purchasing rung up for 0.69 each instead of 0.49 so the cashier ran and checked the price and then manually overrode the price to 0.49 each. I also didn't have the coupon double correctly. After she adjusted the price it only doubled 0.23 instead of 0.75. The cashier said it had a message saying exceeds value (or something like that). The only thing I can figure is that 0.75 + 0.23 = 0.98 which is the price of 2 cans (at 0.49 each). It is as if the coupon would only double to the amount of 2 even though it was for 3. I looked back on my receipt from last week and sure enough - the same thing happened then. I was just tired from shopping late and didn't catch it. I was a little disappointed to not get it for free, but $1.47 for 9 cans of tomato sauce isn't a bad deal either. :)
